Celebrating Pride across the North East: Join us Summer!
We're proud to be kicking off a vibrant summer of Pride celebrations across the North East, and we'd love for you to join us! Foster with North East and our local authority partners will be out in full colour at events throughout the region, offering a warm, welcoming space to talk all things fostering.
Whether you're just curious or seriously thinking about fostering, these events are a fantastic opportunity to meet local fostering teams, ask questions, and explore how fostering could fit into your life. No pressure - just open, honest conversations in a relaxed and inclusive environment.
At Foster with North East, celebrating Pride is about more than showing up - it's about standing up. There are still many misconceptions about who can foster, and we know that LGBTQ+ individuals and families are sometimes overlooked or don't know themselves that they can foster. That's why it's so important for us to be part of these conversations. Pride events give us the chance to challenge stereotypes, celebrate diversity, and show that fostering is open to everyone with love to give; regardless of gender identity, sexuality, or background.
